Description

Placed under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Receive and Record all documents sent to the financial department of the region;
  • Ensure the reprography, classification and archiving of copies of accounting and financial documents.
  • Support the Finance Manager in updating the monitoring tables for advances, stocks and receivables;
  • Hold the bank manual fog of the area;
  • Prepare the regional accounts reconciliation statements and submit for the appreciation of the Finance Manager;
  • Participate in the follow-up of reconciliations of advances made from the regional bank account and in the follow-up of the recovery of debts in the region;
  • Support the Finance manager in monitoring or implementing audit recommendations for the region's financial processes;
  • Track the region's petty cash and fuel expenses and report to the Finance manager;
  • Participate in the preparation and revision of budgets;
  • Be able to demonstrate skills in the management of human relations, communication and the development of individuals;
  • Contribute to the management of financial audits as a first curtain of quality control of accounting documents, controls of supporting documents and control of compliance with procedures, as well as the implementation of related recommendations;
  • Contribute to project and head office audits;
  • Produce monthly statistics on contract and litigation management;
  • Produce monthly the bank reconciliation statement of the region's accounts and submit for the appreciation of the Finance manager;
  • Produce the monthly bank fog of the region;
  • Ensure the systematic classical and electronic archiving of accounting documents, files related to advance requests;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the hierarchy.

 

  1.  Professional Qualifications and Experience Required

 

  • Hold at least a Bac + 3 in Accounting, Finance, Management Control or other equivalent diploma;
  • Have at least three (03) years of professional experience at a similar position in a development organization, NGO, large-scale project or company; relevant experience in an international NGO would be an asset;
  • Have audit management skills in order to be able to respond to the various audit recommendations of ACMS and be able to improve operations accordingly;
  • Having a good knowledge of IT tools, Office package software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), mastery of accounting software (WINPACCS, CASHBOOK, QUICKBOOK) would be an asset;
  • Have a good command of the French or English language;

  • Have a structured mind and good oral and written expression skills;
  • Have a disposition to work under pressure and to question oneself;
  • Being proactive, knowing how to give structured suggestions, and knowing how to work in a team as well as transversally with other departments.

Professional Experience Required to Replace the Diploma:

  • Have  more than  five (05)  years  of professional experience  in a similar position in a development organization, an NGO, a project or a large-scale company;
