Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation is a world leader in the fight against HIV and AIDS in children. With funding from the CDC / PEPFAR Cameroon for the project Atteindre95 , EGPAF assists the Ministry of Public Health and the Cameroon Government to ensure that 95% of people living with HIV know their status, 95% of them are made on antiretroviral therapy, and that 95% of them have a suppressed viral load. EGPAF also benefits from the support of other donors such as Unitaid for the implementation of innovative approaches to the early diagnosis of HIV of HIV in infants and to catalyze pediatric tuberculosis services.
Job Summary
He / She is a member of the SI&E department, available from:
- Support the updating of health facility registers
- Extract the data in all the registers at the end of the day for an extraction form, check the internal consistency and prepare the monthly report form (hardware and software) of the health unit to be sent to higher levels;
- Enter the data in all media (monthly report cards and all databases);
Missions and responsibilities:
- Ensure data collection and management at site level
- Participate in updating all registers (at all entry points) of the health facility
- Support the development of the data circuit in the health facility
- Ensure the renewal of data collection tools and SOPs on the site
- Make available the instructions / SOPs to systematically fill in all the variables according to their modalities
- Extract the data from the registers at the end of the day, check the internal consistency before entering the data.
- Use the existing checklist to control the quality of the data in collaboration with other team members (liaison officer, psychosocial agent);
- Present the data to the team (liaison officer, psychosocial agent; technical agent / senior nurse) for validation
- Enter data in all tools (monthly report form, abstraction form and all databases).
- Store copies of completed monthly report forms (MRF)
- Provide support for the timely transmission of complete data to the levels above the site health facility before the 5th of the following month
- Participate in the database analysis according to the cascade of each service and provide weekly feedback.
- Participate in the audit of data quality
- Participate in data review sessions
- Participate in any other installation documentation process
Qualifications required
- Minimum level: Baccalaureate all series
- Computer / information science training is taken into account
- 2 years of data entry experience, preferably in a healthcare facility
- A very good command of the Microsoft package (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is compulsory.
- Fluency in French is a key requirement and working knowledge of English is an advantage
- Strong work ethic and ability and willingness to work under pressure
- High level of precision and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural and multinational teams in developing countries, including with ministries of health and / or other implementing partners;
- Demonstrated ability to manipulate databases and dashboards
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software
