SOCIETE GENERALE CAMEROUN IS LOOKING FOR ITS (01) SENIOR TREASURERFOR ITS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
The Senior Treasurer will be in charge of the commercial development of the activity on the capital markets, the management of the treasury and the funding policy as well as the monitoring of the objectives and achievements of the Department. He / She will also be responsible for developing and managing relations with the corresponding banks.
He / She has the role of:
In terms of business development of the activity on the capital markets:
- Develop the profitability of the bank's investments on the interbank and securities markets;
- Develop the intervention of the bank in the secondary market for Treasury securities and canvass clients in excess of resources to encourage them to invest;
- Develop business relationships with local and international banks;
- Develop the bank's products / services relating to the capital markets;
- Advise and support clients in issuing securities on the money market (negotiable debt securities, etc.);
- Monitor revenue and expense accounts related to the activity.
In terms of cash management and steering of funding policy:
- Ensure the daily management of the bank's cash by establishing reliable cash forecasts and proposing the measures to be taken to optimize liquidity management;
- Ensure the day-to-day management of the liquidity position in XAF and in foreign currencies through the coordination of the daily treasury committee;
- Make proposals on investment / refinancing opportunities on the capital markets (nature, duration of support, volumes, etc.);
- Manage the bond portfolio for own account;
- ? Negotiate funding lines optimally and ensure their reimbursement / clearance according to contractual deadlines;
- Ensure compliance with foreign exchange position limits;
- Serve as a relay with the Central Bank as part of the pre-financing of transfer files;
- Ensure compliance with the production of all regulatory and internal reports within the Group within the set deadlines and validate the reports before transmission.
In terms of correspondent banking:
- Ensure compliance of new relationships with banking institutions with Group standards (in conjunction with the Bank's Compliance and Financial Security department);
- Ensure the annual update of the KYC of the corresponding banks;
- Play the role of Customer Advisor to banks holding an account in our books;
- Ensure the delivery of a high quality of service to the corresponding banks.
In terms of permanent monitoring and innovation:
- Ensure the establishment of procedures for all department activities and their regular updating;
- Initiate and pilot projects leading to a gain in productivity and more security in the conduct of the department's activities;
- Ensure permanent monitoring of the department's activities.
For this position of 10th category based in Douala, the candidate must have the following skills:

- Engineer and / or Mathematician, BAC + 4/5 in Banking, Finance, Management Sciences or equivalent discipline

- Perfect mastery of the office pack (Word, EXCEL, Powerpoint)
- To be bilingual
