Description
The Center Pasteur du Cameroun (CPC) is recruiting a Scientific Executive in bacteriology for service needs.
Status: Full-time, renewable two-year fixed-term contract, with a 4-month trial period, 12th category, step A,
Place of employment: Center Pasteur du Cameroun - Yaoundé.
Environment:
The Center Pasteur du Cameroun (CPC) is a public hospital establishment under Cameroonian law under the dual supervision of the Ministries of Public Health and Finance. The CPC, reference and public health laboratory, is a member of the Institut Pasteur International Network. The CPC carries out service missions (medical analyzes, water and food, vaccinations,) Public Health, research and training.
Main mission and activities:
Under the responsibility of the Scientific Directorate, the bacteriologist will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing new research projects in bacteriology, with in particular an emphasis on antibiotic resistance, taking into account the “One health ”. As such, he / she will be responsible for:

- Develop research activities;
- Supervise public health activities and provide expertise in bacteriology;
- Enhance surveillance data and strengthen the capacities of the Bacteriology Service through the development of molecular biology techniques, bioinformatics, etc.);
- Supervise technicians and students (Master and PhD).
Required profile :
- Scientist, doctor or pharmacist with a university doctorate (PhD) in the area of interest (bacteriology);
- Professional experience of at least 3 years of research in bacteriology;
- Publication of scientific articles;
- Good practice of English.
