Description

Bakwa is a small non-profit organization seeking a media-savvy Publicist to generate brand awareness and manage our public image. Using your understanding of marketing and public relations, you will plan, write and implement publicity campaigns, including press releases, social media posts, and various promotional events to ensure that a positive public image is maintained and expanded.

Are you bilingual, have written and verbal communication skills, are creative, and have out-of-the-box marketing strategies? You are exactly who we are looking for.

Job Description

The Publicist shall work remotely, 25 hours a week.

Their duties shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Planning and implementing publicity campaigns for authors and books.
  • Working with the content team to create on-trend social media campaigns.
  • Create content for our newsletter aimed at increasing engagement.
  • Putting together informative press kits.
  • Maintaining good relationships with media organizations.
  • Representing the company in interviews and press conferences.
  • Analyzing the impact of our publicity strategy and making adjustments where necessary.

Requirements: 

  • Previous marketing or public relations experience.
  • Strong understanding of social media and internet culture.
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Copywriting and content creation skills.
  • Have an excellent command of written and spoken French and English
