What is a diabetes nurse?

As a diabetes nurse you hold a private consultation hour for diabetes patients. By means of these consultation hours you promote the self-management of the patient.

You also provide expertise within the function for the promotion of expertise, consultancy, innovation, care policy and research. You will contribute to policy developments in the field of diabetes in order to further optimize the quality of care for diabetes patients.

Within the job you work together with internists and physician assistants.

• You are a HBO diploma nurse, supplemented with the EADV training;
• You are a registered diabetes nurse or are willing to register;
• You preferably have one year of work experience as a diabetes nurse;
• You have an enthusiastic personality and you can work independently.
