Related with our activities we are looking for a HEAD OF RADIO OPERATORS

Working locations: based in Kumba (require flexibility to travel in the all Administrative Divisions concerned by DWB project's activities)

Type of contract : Fixed Term

Salary: According to the organization´s Salary Grid - Level 4

 

Main Purpose

Supervising call center operators' activities, ensuring and providing them training, according to Doctors Without Borders standards and communication protocols, in order to provide quality communications for the ambulance service.

Main Tasks

  •  Supervising the call center operators' team, organizing personnel shifts to ensure appropriate, on-going service coverage.
  • Training and guiding new and experienced call center operators and ensuring they follow all protocols.Providing training to all

   new operators

  • Checking the correct functioning of all equipment and informing line manager of any damage, loss, or theft.
  • Ensuring that only authorized people use the phones, preventing of any damage and theft.
  • Reporting of all the activities and the needs to the line manager
  • Support the call center operators' in case of overload of calls
  • Supervises the data collection and ensures the weekly recording are ready on time
  • Manage the credit for the call centers and ambulance´ phones and report promptly to the supervisor the need of recharge
  • Manage the stock of cleaning material and documents for ambulances and report to the supervisor the need of replenishment
  • Ensure that all the incident are reported to the supervisor
  • Guarantee in collaboration with the operators and ambulance drivers that a medical staff is available for each movement of the ambulance
  • Guarantee the confidentiality of the data collected (Medical data, movements, patients` and care takers` private information,

   security information)

  • Collaborate with medical department to improve the organization and quality of service of the call center.
  • Operating the phones lines following the DWB security rules and lines of communication.
  • Ensuring that messages are well copied and passed to all people concerned and records the messages on the registration book.
  • Monitoring and registering the ambulance movements (departure, arrival, number of passengers, route taken, standard contact points) and

   informs line manager of any delays.

  • Ensuring a proper handover to the following shift.
  • Ensure the report of movements is on time
  • Communicate effectively with supply / log team for required materials for the call center and the ambulances
  • Analyzing project area mapping and security procedures
  • Train the call center operators and Ambulance drivers,
  • Discuss with medical team about challenges and procedures on referrals and come up with solution
  • Participate actively in the Call Center daily operations as part of the operators' roster
  • Ensure a full coverage of the call center 24 hours per day, 7 days per week by a good planning of the annual leave and finding

Required Skills

Education Nurse, nurse aide or health sciences.
Experience Desirable work experience as radio operator related jobs. Previous experience in supervision roles. Experience in health facilities.
