Description
The GEF Small Grants Program, was launched in 1992 to promote grassroots initiatives to respond to global environmental problems. Financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on behalf of the GEF partnership, the GEF SGP is present in 128 countries and has granted more than 17,500 microfinance to community projects around the world in developing countries.
Since its relaunch in 2007, SGP Cameroon has funded more than a hundred projects contributing to the improvement of the quality of the environment and the living conditions of the populations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the National Coordinator, and in collaboration with the Program Assistant, the intern will perform the following tasks:
- Production of communication tools (various articles; directory of memories of SGP students, capitalization of project vouchers; creation of greeting cards and others);
- Contribution to the organization of environmental events and meetings of the National Steering Committee of the GEF SGP Cameroon;
- Contribute to the drafting of knowledge sharing documents from SGP Cameroon;
- Animation of GEF SGP Cameroon accounts on social media;
- Perform all other assigned tasks.
Production of communication tools (various articles; directory of memories of SGP students, capitalization of project vouchers; creation of greeting cards and others);
Contribution to the organization of environmental events and meetings of the National Steering Committee of the GEF SGP Cameroon;
Contribute to the drafting of knowledge sharing documents from SGP Cameroon;
Animation of GEF SGP Cameroon accounts on social media;
Perform all other assigned tasks.

Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum required: be currently enrolled in a higher education institution at Bac + 4 level in Communication / Project Management / Natural Resource Management or hold a Master 2 (science or professional) for less than a year
- Have experience in the field of community and association development activities;
- Have a good command of the IT tool (WORD, PowerPoint, Publisher, Microsoft pack);
- Have good writing skills and a good command of social networks;
- Knowledge of photography, graphics, image and video processing would be an asset;
- Have a good command of the English language and a perfect ability to work in French.
Minimum required: be currently enrolled in a higher education institution at Bac + 4 level in Communication / Project Management / Natural Resource Management or hold a Master 2 (science or professional) for less than a year
