PRINCIPAL MISSION 

Participate in the control of legal risk within the Bank by advising the Bank in the legal field, by managing the legal operation, and by contributing to the management of complaints

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

•  Bac+3 in Private Law
• Minimum of three (03) years of experience in a similar position or in a Lawyer / Notary firm
• Bilingualism (French-English) would be an asset

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Develop the Bank's legal procedures; o Provide legal monitoring and popularization of corporate legal culture;
• Ensure legal and contractual engineering: drafting, review, anticipation of risks related to contracts, general conditions and other legal instruments of the Bank (suppliers, service providers, client partners);
• Review and manage insurance contracts;
• Monitor the settlement of insurance claims;
• Manage complaints and litigation;
• Maintaining relations with the courts, court officers, judicial police authorities; o Carry out the legal review of guarantees, visits, evaluations and expertise;
• Provide support to internal clients on general legal issues;
• Manage legal risk preventively and curatively.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Good knowledge of the banking sector
• Strong legal knowledge
• Solid knowledge of banking law
• Mastery of techniques for drafting legal documents
• Mastery of documentary research
• Mastery of techniques for analyzing and investigating legal cases
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
