Description
Our mission in Cameroon has existed since 2008. PUI is developing its integrated approach there with the sectors of food security and access to drinking water, hygiene and sanitation. In addition, PUI is working on the Rapid Response Mechanism to cope with the influx of refugees. Today, the mission consists of 3 projects.
And the RRM Cameroon Coordinator in all of this?
As RRM Coordinator, you will coordinate the implementation and monitoring of the Rapid Response Mechanism program. You will be responsible for the proper execution and quality of the activity implemented, and if necessary, will propose adjustments or developments to guarantee its quality. You will also represent the association with the authorities, humanitarian actors and donors, and will be in charge of communication around the action.
To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Programs: You will ensure the proper implementation and monitoring of the RRM program under your responsibility.
- Representation / Coordination: You will represent the association with partners, donors, authorities and local actors involved in the implementation of the RRM program, coordinate the sectoral representation of PUI and ensure the good circulation of information on the mission.
- Logistics and administration: You will ensure the logistical and administrative follow-up of the transversal activities of the project.
- Security: You will contribute to the respect of security rules and to the security analysis in the areas of the RRM.
- Evaluations / Strategy: You will contribute to the definition of the strategy and the development of new interventions on the basis of identified needs.
- Human Resources / Training: You will supervise the mission's RRM technical coordination team, provide support to program managers in recruiting technical profiles and supervise technical training actions based on identified needs.
The challenges that await you:
1 - monitoring of new responses from the RRM 2021 (food assistance); 2 - monitoring of the establishment of the green line (accountability, complaints escalation mechanism); 3 - make the RRM known to UN and NGO actors in the Far North so that humanitarian actors recognize the relevance of Multisectoral Evaluations
What you will need to be successful
- Training : You can justify a higher diploma (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in the field of humanitarian aid, in project management, or an equivalent combination of experience.
- Experience : You have at least two years of professional experience in the humanitarian sector. Have you held a position related to RRM project management and / or carrying out multisectoral evaluations? It will be highly appreciated. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? It will be an undeniable asset!
- Skills: You master project management, demonstrate very good writing quality and know the procedures of the main institutional donors (ECHO, UN agencies, etc.).
- Required qualities: You are a good communicator, both written and oral, are a force of proposal and have a sense of responsibility. You demonstrate a good capacity for analysis, organization, rigor, and good management of priorities. You also show a strong resistance to stress.
- Languages : French and English hold no secrets for you? So much the better, it is essential for this position! If you also speak Arabic and / or Spanish, this will be a definite asset.

PUI will offer you
- Status: Employee on a Fixed-Term Contract
- Gross monthly salary : 2,200.00 - 2,530.00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + 50 € per semester of seniority with PUI
